Cuba makes its money mainly from its nickel
and cobalt production. The
rapidly growing tourism industry is another major source
of income for Cuba. Cuba exports nickel, sugar, tobacco,
medical products and skilled labour to Netherlands,
China and Canada. The average cost of living is relatively low.
Travelling by bus is the cheapest option. Official taxis
are relatively expensive, and so, it is a better idea to
use rental cars. Car rentals start from CUC 65 a day.
